Terms of service
These terms govern your use of the SEVEN77 iOS application and the seven77app.com website (together, the “Service”), operated by SEVEN77 (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. They are written to be read, not to be survived.
1. What SEVEN77 is
SEVEN77 is a self-directed discipline challenge: seven daily tenets, completed every day for 77 consecutive days, with a daily photo check-in you may share publicly. It is a tracking and accountability tool. It is not a medical, health, fitness, or nutrition service, and nothing in it is professional advice.
2. Health disclaimer
The default targets shown in the app (steps, water intake, alcohol abstinence, optional creatine, and similar) are a standard protocol we chose for the challenge, not recommendations tailored to you. Some defaults are unsafe for some people. You are responsible for setting targets appropriate to your own health, and you should consult a qualified professional before changing your exercise, diet, hydration, supplement, or alcohol habits — especially before stopping alcohol abruptly if you are physically dependent. You use the challenge at your own risk.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You can sign in with Apple, Google, X, or an email sign-in link. You must be at least 16 years old (or older where local law requires) to use the Service. You are responsible for the security of the sign-in method you use; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Your content
Check-in photos, notes, and anything else you submit remain yours. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process (including automated moderation), display, and distribute that content solely to operate the Service — for example, compositing your check-in card and showing your posts in the global feed. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared by you to third-party platforms or retained briefly in backups.
By posting to the global feed you confirm that your content:
- is yours to post and does not infringe anyone else’s rights;
- contains no nudity, violence, harassment, hate, or illegal material;
- does not include other identifiable people without their consent.
5. Moderation
Photos pass automated moderation before appearing in the global feed, and users can report posts and block authors. We may remove content or restrict accounts at our discretion to keep the feed usable. Moderation is imperfect; we do not guarantee the feed is free of objectionable material.
6. The streak is the product
Streak resets, the grace window, and attempt history behave as described in the app. We make no guarantee that streaks, history, or other data will never be lost, and a reset streak — whether by rule or by malfunction — is not a compensable loss.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- abuse, harass, or impersonate other users;
- upload content that violates section 4;
- probe, scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service or its APIs;
- reverse engineer the app except where law permits it regardless of this term.
8. Price
The Service is free at launch. If we introduce paid tiers, the price and what it covers will be stated in the app before you pay, and any purchase will be handled through Apple’s in-app purchase system under Apple’s payment terms.
9. Third-party services
Sign-in is provided by Apple, Google, and X under their own terms. Sharing a check-in card to X or elsewhere is governed by that platform’s terms. We use service providers for analytics and error logging as described in the privacy policy.
10. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these terms, with notice where practicable. Sections that by their nature should survive (4–7, 11–13) survive.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data will be preserved.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, streaks, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of US$50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and continued use after the effective date is acceptance. Questions go to support@seven77app.com.
